About the Web 2.0 Squad
We read and digest quite a few blogs and news about the Internet and have been intrigued by the Web 2.0 discussions. What we like the best is the amount of discussion it generates, regardless of what the exact definition of Web 2.0 is.
In our opinion Web 2.0 is a valid second coming of the Internet, the Web actually becoming what we all envisioned before the first bubble.
We have taken several areas we watch very closely and created what we call Squads. These Squads are made up of professionals out there on the Internet already working in these areas. We are not one large, centrally located Dot Com Startup. We are more an idea and loose organization of Web 2.0 Consultants already working on the Internet.
We like the distributed nature of Web 2.0 and how it empowers individuals and business alike, so we came up with the Web 2.0 Squad and its individual specialized squads. We chose the .us extension above .com mostly because it represent US, which speaks to the goals behind Web 2.0 Squad deployments.
